the fourth
the Cat was smokin' on the fourth of july. everybody and their brother came for the annual scotts valley fireworks. and, as usual, joe worked the fireworks crowd like a champ, but this was my first year seeing him in action. we happened upon the cummings in the parking lot, being neighbors now and all. my moms and grandma joined the fray, and matt and elizabeth were there (matt, can you see you in the background?) and lastly the watkins clan sauntered in for the obligatory cup o' joe. i intended us all to cheer the poor working man up, but once we all congregated, i realized that he was in the zone. he was running his keester off, making drinks left and right, gettin' 'er done. there was no visiting to be had with him. so, we all mingled amongst ourselves in great patriotic fever, i took pics of the madness, and joe concocted $1000 worth of Black Cats and Cool Cats and latte art in two hours.
