better boaters

so, we went off to loch lomond for a picnic with amy and josh, and aside from having practically raw tri-tip and relentless winds, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. the guys immediately set themselves to proving their brawn and navigational skills with the rowboat. after a few minutes of going around in circles and weaving, we began to get somewhere. and at last we were somewhat impressed. amy and i then decided to show our boating prowess and, though we may not have had the speed, we certainly proved our worth with great decorum. the guys never verbalized their respect, but they had to have been wowed at our ability to lug their toushies across the lake! ;)

me and my shirts of many colors. hmmm. well, all i can say is that we were coming from church, and i grabbed picnic clothes in a hurry. and it won't happen again.

we got some video of this...pretty hilarious, really. i've never rowed anything in my life. that should set the scene fairly well, i think.

so, amy's just crazy. we're boating along, happy as clams, when she sees this rock out in the middle of the water. somebody suggests that if she stood atop it, it could possibly look like she's walking on water. that was all it took, really. next minute she's climbing out of the boat! meanwhile, i'm safely oaring about in a nice sturdy flotation device. :)

thanks for a fun day, you guys! you're awesome. and the girls were the better boaters.
