new duvet cover and shams from IKEA! never thought i'd do orange, but i'm digging it. :0) it kinda brightens up the place. and, for $40!

I love orange! The duvet and shams are lovely! So cheerful and classy and noble. Nice work. Orange is the new pink, after all.

Well, we have that fabulous roasted-butternut-squash-orange leather comfy chair and ottoman from John's grandparents--it's brilliantly old and weathered. Do you remember it from Moscow? And also since you've been over we have acquired a dear easy chair that is covered in a printed fabric--really a rich buttery background with fantastic vines blooming little orange and green and red flowerys all over it. I know it sounds outrageous but it is muted and pairs with our orange chair perfectly. It works because (among other reasons) we have a plain earth-toned sofa (also added since we've had you over! :-() and botanical prints about the living room.
That may be more than you wished to know but I am really fond of those fresh bold colors like orange and green, etc. Oh also pink and salmon and chocolate, lime green and pale blue (not necessarily all together, of course). So many fabulous colors.
Please come to Texas and visit! And we'll look you up if we come to sunny SoCal.

The orange is great! And I LOVE the pattern. Wish you could have made it to TX while we were still there :)... but we look forward to seeing you both soon. So sorry we were all not feeling well last weekend. We really missed seeing you :(
